Fears, Phobias

A fear is an unpleasant reaction we feel when confronted with real danger. it is essentially a fight or flight instinct. A phobia on the other hand is an irrational fear (still a strong and unpleasant reaction) which has been linked to an object or situation, which causes little or no real danger.

There will usually be strong avoidance behaviour connected with the phobia, which will run alongside intense feelings of anxiety, loss of control and panic.

A phobia is sometimes described as a feeling of “something inside yourself but outwith your control” or  “an outward expression of an internal anxiety” and they can all be treated very effectively by a course of Hypno-analysis.
